Filming in White Rock

The City of White Rock has a variety of unique filming locations including our waterfront, Promenade and Pier, our historic train station, Museum, Civic buildings and parks. The City has hosted a variety of productions including movies, commercials and television.

The City of White Rock is a strong supporter of the film industry and endeavors to provide efficient procedures for obtaining the City authorization necessary for filming-on-location in White Rock.

The Recreation and Culture Department is pleased to be able to provide first contact information and coordination such as; filming guidelines, application forms, business license for filming and rental of  locations and services.

Film Permit Guidelines

If you are interested in filming in White Rock, first call or email the filming coordinator to discuss your project. A completed film application should be submitted at least seven business days in advance of your filming date.

Submission of an application does not guarantee issuance of a permit. Film applications are reviewed and once approval-in-principle is given, the City will provide the invoice and permit.
