Canada 150

The City of White Rock along with local community partners, are proud to partipate in the celebration of Canada's 150th Birthday. Events are taking place across the country this year and White Rock has some very exciting things in store! 

Canada 150 celebrations will kick-off on July 1st with the annual Canada Day by the Bay celebration along White Rock beach, followed by a host of other events currently being planned to acknowledge this historic milestone.  

Peninsula Productions will present an original play titled Sea of Stories about this history of our beautiful City by the Sea.  The play runs from August 9 to 26 at the Coast Capital Playhouse. Purchase tickets online or by calling 604-536-7535.

Semiahmoo Arts will feature a Canada 150 Art Show with exhibits on display at the White Rock Community Centre this summer. In addition, Paint the Town (July 22-23) and Pop-Up Gallery (August & September) will incorporate the 150 theme. 

White Rock Museum & Archives will feature both indoor and outdoor exhibits, focusing on diversity in Canada. 

The City of White Rock will host a communtiy celebration on Wednesday August 16 in partnership with Snowbirds Fly for CH.I.L.D. 
A spectacular air show will begin at 5:45 p.m. with live music both before and after the air show.
