How can I Submit a Freedom of Information Request?

If you would like to receive information from the City that is not normally given out, you will need to fill in a Freedom of Information Request. In this request you will specify what information in particular that you are requesting. The City of White Rock has 30 business days, from the time of receipt of the request, to process each request that we receive. However an effort is made to provide the information as quickly as possible. Note there may be fees applicable for Freedom of Information requests in accordance with Schedule A of the White Rock Freedom of Information Bylaw, 2010, No. 1922 [PDF - 43 KB].

Types of information that will NOT be released:

Legal advice given to the City of White Rock Disclosure harmful to the conservation of heritage sites Local public body confidences
Policy advice or recommendations Disclosure harmful to personal privacy Disclosure harmful to law enforcement. Disclosure harmful to business interests of a third party
Business license applications (in bulk) Contact information for property owners Bulk property registry data (Assessment Roll)
