The City of White Rock Building Department is responsible for processing of applications and issuing of a variety of permits covering Building, Plumbing, Demolition and Signs. This includes checking plans and monitoring construction for compliance with the City Bylaws and minimum health, life safety and structural requirements which are contained in related construction codes and bylaws.

We endeavour to assist builders and owners in understanding and following the City Bylaws and related codes to aid them in producing quality buildings.

We also inspect building premises and investigate complaints related to unauthorized construction, unsafe conditions and violations of related City Bylaws.

The City has one Building Official and one Plans Examiner:

  • Guy Gareau - Building Official

Please send us an email to submit questions related to your building permit, building or plumbing concerns, or questions regarding buildings currently under construction.
