“The police are the public, the public are the police,” Sir Robert Peel

Police partner with the community, taking a problem-solving pro-active approach that emphasizes the role of police as partners with the citizens of White Rock on issues of public safety and security.

White Rock embraces this model recognizing that the success of true community-based policing begins at the local level. Our people are the most valuable resource. Private and community funding help support the local programs through fund-raising by the Semiahmoo Volunteer Community Police Society.

The White Rock RCMP has been a leader in the field of Community Policing/Victim Assistance for over twenty years. We have a history of creating dynamic programs to meet the specific policing needs of our community. Our programs and have been the recipients of many National, Provincial and local awards.

There are currently over thirty committed Community Policing volunteers who are involved in over twenty crime preventive initiatives. These volunteers play an integral role in the success of crime prevention in White Rock. Last year our dedicated volunteers contributed in excess of four thousand hours of service.
