White Rock Firefighters Deployed to Assist with B.C. Wildfire Efforts

WHITE ROCK, B.C. - This morning members of White Rock Fire Rescue were deployed to assist in the provincial wildfire efforts. The department is also assisting by providing resources, and staff, for the Provincial Regional Emergency Operations Centre (PREOC), in Prince George. 

For the past week, White Rock City Emergency Social Services (ESS) staff have been in Chilliwack providing assistance to evacuees at the reception centre that was established there.

Fire Chief Phil Lemire is in contact with the Office of the Fire Commissioner and Emergency Management BC. White Rock Fire Rescue continues to provide assistance with the B.C. wildfire efforts, and the City will continue to assist where it can.
