Jen Hough is a self-taught photographer exploring through imagery the garbage epidemic in the Pacific Ocean, including the impact of the Japanese Pacific Tsunami, and how it affects our coast. While many of the images may not be considered beautiful, the exhibit brings awareness to the issue of plastics and garbage in our oceans.

Beckoned by the Sea: Women at Work on the Cascadia Coast
By interviewing women living and working on the coast of British Columbia, Washington and Oregon, Sylvia has provided a portrait of women working in occupations linked to the sea. From fish boat captains and marine biologists to lighthouse tenders and history keepers. Beckoned by the Sea tells their stories and showcases their contributions. Sponsored by the Friends of White Rock Library.
