The City of White Rock Fire Rescue is located at 15315 Pacific Avenue and employs a team of 17 Firefighters, four Captains, two Deputy Chiefs, and a Fire Chief.
Applications for career firefighter positions with the City of White Rock are accepted only when an active recruitment is underway. Applicants must meet all required qualifications to be considered for a White Rock Fire Rescue career firefighter position.
The City is not currently actively recruiting for career positions at this time.

What We're Looking For
Our casual on-call clerical staff are recruited for vacation relief, and short or long term assignments on an as-needed basis for all of our City facilities. Duties may include word processing, data entry, telephone reception and customer service. Related training and experience, together with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of programs and exceptional customer service skills are required. This type of employment is best suited to a dependable and flexible individual not seeking full-time employment as there is no guarantee of hours in this position.

City staff are employed to perform support services at the White Rock RCMP Detachment in the areas of administration, record management, court services, exhibits, victim services and community policing.
All civilian RCMP positions require a valid RCMP enhanced security clearance.
The City hires for seasonal opportunities in its Recreation and Culture and Engineering and Municipal Operations Departments. Typically these temporary positions work full-time hours beginning in May and ending by early September.
Program Leaders are recruited by Recreation and Culture to support Special Events, Seniors and Children's programming. Individuals working in these positions must possess a valid BC Driver's License (ideally a Class 4) and current level 1 First Aid certification.
What We're Looking For
Seasonal Labourers perform light to heavy manual labour duties outdoors in areas serviced by Engineering and Municipal Operations. Whether assisting in maintaining the City's beautiful parks or performing solid waste, recycling or green can collection, these positions are best suited to candidates who are self-motivated team players willing to work rain or shine. A valid Class 5 BC Driver's License and current Driver's Abstract/Record is required for all positions as well as a criminal record check.
