Do you have materials that are not accepted or too big to dispose of in the City's residential curbside collection programs? There are many safe alternative disposal options available!
The City of White Rock does not have a large item pick up. Large household items for disposal can either be taken to a Waste Transfer Station for a fee or residents can contact a disposal company that will take items away for a fee.
From paint to electronics, solvents to appliances, lighting to medications, check out the City's Put Waste In Its Place online tool to find out if an item can be recycled. Visit these websites to see what items they accept for recycling:
Product Care is a not-for-profit industry association that manages product stewardship programs for household hazardous and special waste on behalf of its members across Canada.
Visit the Product Care website to find a location that accepts paints, flammable liquids, pesticides, waste gasoline, fluorescent light bulbs and tubes and other hazardous waste items.
Metro Vancouver invites non-profit or volunteer groups to apply for a waiver of tipping fees for loads of garbage from community clean-up projects delivered to a Metro Vancouver disposal site. Metro Vancouver recognizes the important work of these groups in helping keep our communities clean and in protecting the environment.
