Lighting the White Rock Pier
At 470 metres, the White Rock Pier is Canada’s longest pier. The White Rock Pier, built in 1914, is a popular destination for people from the Lower Mainland and beyond. People come to the Waterfront and the Pier to enjoy breathtaking sunsets and the beauty of Semiahmoo Bay.
To add to the enjoyment of the Pier, the City of White Rock added accent lights in 2018, featuring an array of colours. Lights were also added to other Waterfront features, including the White Rock Museum and Archives, the puck lights at the seating area in Memorial Park and the Coastal Cradle artwork overlooking Memorial Park.
The Pier lights have been lit to recognize holidays. Community and non-profit groups can now make requests to light the White Rock Pier specific colours. The Memorial Park features and Museum building will be lit as technology allows.
