Election Staff

The City of White Rock is hiring election workers for the upcoming 2022 municipal election!

We are looking to form a dedicated group of election staff to work on the day of the election (Saturday, October 15, 2022) and for advance voting opportunities (October 5, 6 and 11, 2022).


Presiding Election Official (PEO)

  • Oversees and administers the voting at their assigned voting place including election worker supervision, scheduling breaks, etc.
  • Responsible for the efficiency, orderliness and general conduct in and around the voting place.

Deputy Presiding Election Official (DPEO)

  • Assists the PEO in all aspects noted above and acts in the PEO's absence as required.
  • Provides assistance to Registration Clerks as required

Registration Clerk

  • Registers and issues ballots
  • Oversees the new elector registrations
  • Provides relief for Vote Tabulator Machine Clerk

Poll Clerk:

  • Uses voting book to locate and mark off electors' names
  • Issues ballots

Vote Tabulator Machine Clerk:

  • Instructs Electors on feeding ballots into the vote tabulator machine
  • Monitors vote tabulator machine.

  • Completing a hard copy and forwarding to 15322 Buena Vista Ave, White Rock, BC (Administration Office) or via e-mail to elections@whiterockcity.ca   

Note:  All election staff must be available to attend a mandatory training seminar.  At this time there would be a choice between Tuesday, September 27 or Wednesday, September 28, 2022, starting at 5:30 p.m.
