  5. An Eventuality - Art Exhibit

    Artists Elizabeth Carefoot, Willa Downing, Lesley Garratt and Claire Moore have been considering the question: What is a lifespan? Responses address biological life spans with death as an undisputed eventuality, but also look at the life spans of inorganic materials and the implication for the planet. Some explorations have been set in deep time, others in momentary experiences. The work covers drawing, printing, painting, stitching and sculpture. Artists will be on site to discuss the ramifications of the work. “An Eventuality” runs at the LandMark Pop-Uptown Gallery, Central Plaza, 151409 North Bluff Road in White Rock, from October 3rd to the 26th. Hours are Thursday and Friday from 1 to 5pm and Saturdays 10am to 5pm. There will be an Opening Reception and music event on Thursday October 3rd at 7pm.     Addictive Comedy is hosting Open Mic Night's for anyone and everyone. We invite anyone to come and try your hand at being funny, all experience welcome. This is a supportive safe space, alcohol and Drug-free. These nights are for connection, creativity, and laughter. This will be a chance to try new/existing material or just come and be entertained. This is an adult orientated space so colourful language may be used. If you are interested in doing a 5 min spot you will have to sign up in advance. We are running the night by Suggested DONATION $4- which will be donated to ThirdSpace for their venue, coffee, and tea. Dates are every 2nd and 4th Friday of the month.
