Come have a positive environmental impact at the beach with the Lower Mainland Green Team on Sunday, May 28.
The Lower Mainland Green Team will be removing invasive Himalayan blackberry and picking up litter at West Beach on Sunday, May 28 starting at 9:45 a.m.
Is this your first activity with the Lower Mainland Green Team? Register online as a Green Team volunteer ahead of the event.
Registration is required to participate.
Meet by the West Beach boat launch (beside Bayview Park) at Bay Street and Marine Drive.
Flow of the activity:
- Meet at 9:45 a.m. (please be on time)
- Sign in on your phone or our tablet
- Receive educational instruction & demo
- Remove invasive plants/clean up litter
- Take a break (snack time!) around 11:30 a.m.
- Continue removing invasive plants/cleaning up litter until 1 p.m.
- Take home a small thank you gift
- Sign out on your phone or our tablet
