WHITE ROCK, B.C.—Oct. 18, 2019— Representatives from TransLink will present an update on Route 351 and other proposed changes at a forum in White Rock on Monday, Oct. 28 starting at 5:30 p.m. at the White Rock Community Centre.

Route 351 connects White Rock, Ocean Park and Crescent Beach with Bridgeport Station.

TransLink will present an update on the proposal and amendments made in response to public feedback during consultation. TransLink engaged with riders and the community about Route 351 in April 2019.

The Oct. 28 forum begins at 5:30 p.m. with information boards for public review. A presentation by Sarah Ross, Director of System Planning with TransLink, begins at 6 p.m. The presentation will be followed by a workshop that includes question and answer opportunities. The forum ends at 7 p.m.

The White Rock Community Centre is at 15154 Russell Ave. Free underground parking is available at the Russell Avenue entrance. For more information about TransLink, visit www.translink.ca.

Quotes

White Rock Mayor Darryl Walker

“I am pleased that TransLink accepted the City of White Rock’s invitation to provide an update about Route 351 and the double-decker bus to the community through this forum.

It is important that the opinions of riders are heard, and that people in White Rock and South Surrey are aware of TransLink’s future plans and how public input was included in the decision-making.”
