[ARCHIVED] Holiday Break Skates returns to Centennial Arena

Skate to a different festive theme every weekday during the holiday break! Skate with Santa, wear your holiday sweater, or join the candy cane skate – it’s all part of the City of White Rock’s Holiday Break Skates from Dec. 19 to 30 at Centennial Arena.

Check out the holiday schedule for something different every day. The arena is closed Dec. 24 to 26.

December 19 – Ice Princess Skate
Dress up in your princess outfit and skate to your favourite movie music.

December 20 – Winter Wonderland Skate
Dress in silver, white, and sparkles and skate through a Winter Wonderland.

December 21 – Tropical Holiday Skate
Tropical shirts, grass skirts, flowers and more. Skate to tropical music on your mini-island getaway skate.

December 22 – Holiday Sweater Skate
Put on your favourite holiday sweater.

December 23 – Skate With Santa
Enjoy a festive skate and a visit from Santa.

December 27 – Holiday Pajama Skate
Wear your holiday pajamas and enjoy some breakfast treats.

December 28 – Santa’s Ho Ho Hoedown 
Find your best plaid and cowboy hat and skate to Country music.

December 29 – Candy Cane Skate
Wear red and white and enjoy a candy cane.

December 30 – New Years Glam Gatsby Skate
Don your most glam 1920s attire and skate in the New Year.

Centennial Arena at 14600 North Bluff Rd. is featuring Stick ‘n Puck for parents and kids ages 5 to 12 and Family Skates for all ages. Admission is $4 a person. Skate and helmet rentals are extra. The Family Skate price is $23, which includes skate and helmet rental for up to five people.
