The City of White Rock Building Department is responsible for processing of applications and issuing of a variety of permits covering Building, Plumbing, Demolition and Signs. This includes checking plans and monitoring construction for compliance with the City Bylaws and minimum health, life safety and structural requirements which are contained in related construction codes and bylaws.

We endeavour to assist builders and owners in understanding and following the City Bylaws and related codes to aid them in producing quality buildings.

We also inspect building premises and investigate complaints related to unauthorized construction, unsafe conditions and violations of related City Bylaws.

If you have inquiries, concerns, or issues relating to an application with the Building Department, or questions regarding buildings currently under construction, please contact us at
