Parks and Recreation Master Plan

Parks and Recreation Master Plan
The City of White Rock is developing a new Parks and Recreation Master Plan. The Plan will include a review of all the City’s parks and recreation facilities, programs, and services and provide direction for future facility improvements and upgrades as well as new facilities, programs, parks, and trails.

Focus Groups

Meetings were held to discuss the current state and future potential of the City’s Parks and Recreation facilities and programs. Stakeholder groups included representatives from sports leagues, arts and culture groups, the City of Surrey, the Surrey School District, the Semiahmoo First Nation, Fraser Health, and residents of all ages.

Community Survey

In 2016, a Parks and Recreation survey was conducted to gain feedback from those who were not able to attend the focus group discussions. Feedback from this survey will be incorporated into the Parks and Recreation Master Plan.
