You are invited to a FREE Culture Days Workshop!

Join the Culture Days movement and be a part of B.C.'s largest celebration of arts, culture and heritage! All professional and amateur artists, arts organizations, cultural workers and community organizers from White Rock are invited to participate in a free workshop in preparation for the 2016 Culture Days weekend.
Participants will learn how to plan, market and publicize their Culture Days activities, as well as connect with other artists and organizers to find ways of working together collaboratively towards their common public engagement goals.
Please come prepared to brainstorm ideas and determine what activities, projects, discussions or initiatives deserve to be highlighted in your community and unique ways in which they can be shared with the public.

What is Culture Days?

Culture Days is a collaborative movement to encourage awareness, participation and engagement of all Canadians in the arts and cultural life of their communities. Last year in B.C. more than 600 Culture Days activities were presented in 50 communities. Now in its seventh year, this Canada-wide celebration represents the largest-ever public participation campaign undertaken by the arts and cultural community in this country. Culture Days will feature free hands-on activities that invite the public to participate in the “behind-the-scenes” world of artists, creators, historians, architects, curators, and designers at work. Through this exchange, artists and creators have a unique opportunity to engage people of all ages in their creative practice. Culture Days will take place September 30-October 2, 2016 in all provinces and territories.
