Join the White Rock Museum and Archives for a celebratory reception for our current exhibition, Weather Watching: Ocean Prayers and Provocations by Erica Grim, in collaboration with Tracie Stewart and Sheinagh Anderson. The installation and experimental soundscape draws analogies between human bodies and the global oceanic body of water.
Featuring live poetry read by Renée Sarojini Saklikar, the City of Surrey’s Poet Laureate and interpretive dance performance by Dr. Celeste Snowber, Associate Professor in the Faculty of Education at Simon Fraser University.
We are privileged to share this exhibition on the shores of the Salish Sea, giving further emphasis to the artists’ message.
