White Rock RCMP Victim Services Celebrates 20 Years

The week of April 21 to April 27, 2013 is National Victims of Crime Awareness Week and this year's theme is “We ALL have a role.” Organizations across Canada will be raising awareness about issues facing victims of crime and the services, programs and laws in place to support victims and their families.

White Rock RCMP Victim Services has been serving the citizens of White Rock for 20 years. Our program provides practical and emotional support as well as education and information to individuals and their families who have been impacted by crime and trauma. We also provide presentations to increase awareness in areas such as elder abuse, domestic violence, dating violence and bullying.

While the police and the criminal justice system have a key role to play we recognize that you, the friends, family and the community who support victims of crime and trauma also have a very significant role. The support that an individual receives after being harmed or impacted by trauma plays a key role in their recovery.

White Rock RCMP Victim Services would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to the City of White Rock, community members, volunteers and agencies throughout the region who provide support and information to empower individuals to not only recover but to come through their experience with an increased knowledge and resiliency.

If you have any questions at all, we welcome you to contact White Rock RCMP Victim Services at 778-593-3608 or refer to the Victim Services section.
