City to invest $80,000 from job action savings

The following Notice of Motion was considered and adopted by Council at the June 23, 2014 Regular Council meeting: 

WHEREAS the City of White Rock is currently experiencing job action in the form of a strike; NOW THEREFORE, following the conclusion of the job action Council directs staff to review and report back regarding the possibility of a rebate being issued to the Taxpayers of White Rock in the event there is a cost savings that would enable this. 

The Director of Financial Services provided a corporate report on the Notice of Motion around the possibility of a rebate at the July 14, 2014 Council Meeting.

After discussion, Council directed staff to provide immediate one-time funding of $80,000 to invest in the maintenance of City's public parks.
