Notice of Disposition and Intention to sell City Lands - 1565 George Street

NOTICE OF DISPOSITION AND INTENTION TO SELL CITY LANDS 

(1565 GEORGE STREET)

TAKE NOTICE THAT pursuant to Sections 26 and 94 of the Community Charter the Council of the City of White Rock has given intention to dispose of 1565 George Street (PARCEL "ONE" (EXPLANATORY PLAN 17421) OF PARCEL "C" (EXPLANATORY PLAN 17420) OF LOT 6 PLAN 13317 AND LOT 3 PLAN 9566 SECTION 11 TOWNSHIP 1 NEW WESTMINSTER DISTRICT), subject to the issuance of a development permit for Major Development Permit application (MJP 16-006), to PARC Retirement Living; dba 0955595 BC Ltd (see subject property on site map below).

The Major Development Permit application submitted by the prospective purchaser proposes to construct a 23-storey seniors’ independent living facility fronting on George Street, as well as a two-storey commercial and amenity building fronting on Johnston Road. 

The Major Development Permit application has not yet been before Council for consideration and approving the sale of the subject property would not automatically require that the Major Development Permit be issued by Council. 

If the sale of land is approved, the land will be transferred to those owners, in exchange for $483,000. The City estimates the fair market value based on an appraisal report prepared by Bentley Appraisals Ltd.
