NOTICE OF A PUBLIC HEARING / PUBLIC MEETING - SEPTEMBER 11, 2017 – 5:00PM
BYLAWS 2213/2214/2212 and DVP 411
NOTICE is hereby given that the Council of the City of White Rock will hold a Public Hearing / Meeting at the White Rock Community Centre, 15154 Russell Avenue, White Rock, BC, on MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 11, 2017 at 5:00 P.M. in accordance with the Local Government Act and Community Charter. At the Public Hearing / Meeting, all persons who deem their interest in property is affected by the proposed Bylaws and Development Variance Permit (DVP) shall be afforded an opportunity to be heard or to present written submissions reflecting matters contained in the proposed application that is the subject of the Public Hearing / Meeting.

- Development Variance Permit No. 411 (DVP)
CIVIC ADDRESS: 14935/45 Victoria Avenue, 1156 Vidal Street and 14948 Beachview Avenue
Bylaws 2213, 2214 and 2212 in conjunction with DVP No. 411, would facilitate the construction of a five-level public parkade on four (4) adjoining City-owned properties and a section of road at Victoria Avenue and Vidal Street.
The proposed multi-level public parkade requires amending the Official Community Plan (OCP) and Zoning designations to reflect a single OCP Designation (Institutional and Utility) and Zone (P-1 Civic Institutional). The proposal requires a DVP to vary the setback, lot coverage and height provisions of the P-1 zone to facilitate the proposed design. The proposed design of the parkade also requires the road closure and removal of highway dedication for a 130.3 square metre section of road adjacent to 14935 and 14945 Victoria Avenue currently used for surface parking.

Please Note: Correspondence that is the subject of a Public Hearing, Public Meeting, or other public processes will be included, in its entirety, in the public information package and will form part of the public record. Council shall not receive further submissions from the public or interested persons concerning the application after the Public Hearing / Meeting has concluded.
A copy of the proposed Bylaws and DVP Permit, and associated reports may be inspected in the City Clerk’s Office at White Rock City Hall, 15322 Buena Vista Avenue, White Rock, BC, from Monday, August 28, 2017 until Monday, September 11, 2017, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., excluding weekends and statutory holidays.
