March 5 - Public Meeting re: Temporary Use Permit (1569/89 Maple Street and 15630 North Bluff Rd)


NOTICE is hereby given that the Council of the City of White Rock will hold a Public Meeting in the City Hall Council Chambers, 15322 Buena Vista Avenue, White Rock, BC, on MONDAY, MARCH 5, 2018at 7:00 P.M. in accordance with the Local Government Act.  At the Public Meeting, all persons who deem their interest in property is affected by the proposed Temporary Use Permit shall be afforded an opportunity to be heard or to present written submissions reflecting matters contained in the proposed application that is the subject of the Public Meeting.

TEMPORARY USE PERMIT No. 18-001       

CIVIC ADDRESS:    1569 Maple Street, 1589 Maple Street, and 15630 North Bluff Road (See Site Map below)

PURPOSE:    The Temporary Use Permit application is for a temporary sales centre (the subject site), a construction site office, associated off-street parking for both uses, and advertising structures, to be located at the subject properties on the same block as a site approved for a 13-storey mixed-use development by the same applicant (‘ALTUS’). If the Temporary Use Permit is issued, this land use permit will be valid for three (3) years.

Should you have any comments or concerns you wish to convey to Council and you cannot attend the Public Meeting, please submit in writing to the Director of Corporate Administration by Noon, Monday, March 5, 2018.  You may forward your submissions by:

  • mailing or delivering to the Corporate Administration Department at White Rock City Hall,15322 Buena Vista Avenue, White Rock, BC V4B 1Y6; or
  • e-mailing the Director of Corporate Administration at with “TUP No. 18-001” typed in the subject line.

Please Note: Correspondence that is the subject of a Public Hearing, Public Meeting, or other public processes will be included, in its entirety, in the public information package and will form part of the public record. Council shall not receive further submissions from the public or interested persons concerning the application after the Public Meeting has concluded.

A copy of the proposed Temporary Use Permit and associated reports may be inspected in the Corporate Administration Department at White Rock City Hall, 15322 Buena Vista Avenue, White Rock, BC, from Wednesday, February 21, 2018 until Monday, March 5, 2018, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., excluding weekends and statutory holidays.
